Atlantis Sanya Successfully Sets Guinness World Records™
"Mermaids" Performed in The Ambassador Lagoon Creating a Visual Wonder
Recently at Atlantis Sanya, professional mermaid performers created a spectacular display in The Ambassador Lagoon as they successfully set the “Largest Underwater Mermaid Show” Guinness World Records™. With vibrant costumes and colorful tails, the mermaids danced in the waters of The Ambassador Lagoon, perfectly executing a series of difficult movements and setting a new Guinness World Records™ for Atlantis Sanya.
A challenge of this magnitude took months of preparation. Partnering with PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors), 110 mermaids were carefully selected, with nearly 90% of the performers from the instructor level. After intensive training and rigorous rehearsals, the group showcased their determination and a commitment to excellence. The mermaids successfully completed a difficult routine, including Through the Halo, Hand in Hand, Rising Torch, 360° Turn Over and Side Swim in Unison, creating a variety of elegant underwater formations that captivated the audience.
Angela Wu (Wu Xiao Hong), the Adjudicator of Guinness World Records™ witnessed the astonishing event and confirmed the successful completion of the challenge, awarding Atlantis Sanya the certification for the “Largest Underwater Mermaid Show” Guinness World Records™.
